Industrial computer company Logic Supply has launched its new rugged PC: the DA-1000 rugged fanless computer, designed by Taiwanese manufacturer Cincoze. It is designed to operate in extreme temperatures and offer a variety of input and output options, according to the press release.
The PC is designed with a fanless and ventless chassis and maintains a low energy usage at less than 15 W. It uses an Intel Braswell dual processor and 8GB of DDR3L memory. It can be integrated with hard drives that store up to 1 TB.
"The DA-1000 offers an incredible combination of size, performance and value," said Michael Kleiner, director of engineering, Logic Supply. "It has many of the same features and capabilities as systems twice its price, from a wide operating temperature range and variable power input, to its shock and vibration resistance. These simply aren't things you expect to see in a device priced at less than $600."
The DA-1000 is also designed to support USB 2.0, 2 GbE LAN, mic-in, line-out and a two-pin remote power on/off connector in its front I/O ports. On its rear, it can support COM ports, DVI and a three-pin terminal block connector, according to the release.
"Last month, the company also unveiled its CL100 mini computer at Digital Signage Expo. With both our CL100 and the new DA-1000 from Cincoze, we're trying to make industrial computing accessible to a wider range of users," Kleiner said. "With the DA-1000 companies and businesses that need a truly rugged hardware solution will now have access to a device that can survive in extreme temperatures and is designed to resist damage from shock, vibration and airborne contaminants."
The DA-1000 is available now from Logic Supply, starting at $569 per unit.
