The L.F. Wade International Airport in Bermuda has improved duty payments with Livewire Digital's next generation of duty payment kiosks, according to a press release.
The kiosk enclosures Livewire installed in 2007 remained intact, but customs officials agreed it was time for a refresh using Livewire's Engage IoT software platform and the latest kiosk components.
The kiosks improved customer service by allowing travelers to electronically complete their duty tax forms, eliminated manual calculation of fees and increased traveler throughput. The kiosks, powered by an application built on Livewire's most recent release of its Engage IoT software platform, also allows customers to bypass lines at the customs counter.
The system simplifies management of currency exchange rates and provides real-time and historical transaction reporting. It also provides secure EMV payment processing, lockdown of the devices and remote management and health monitoring of all hardware components.
