Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-Moonrise Systems released its NetStop Library PRO secure Internet software browser which enables network administrators the ability to limit access to information outlets, according to a company release.
"Instead of attempting to subjectively determine 'appropriate content' by using broad, keyword-based filters, NetStop provides an effective tool that grants access to relevant information sources", states Michael Williams, director of sales at Moonrise Systems."
Unique among secure browsers, Library PRO permits full remote management and monitoring though its integrated management engine called KioskWatch and its powerful database reporting tool called WebStats.
As KioskWatch and Webstats are Web based, kiosk operators can manage and monitor an unlimited number of kiosks from a centralized remote location to determine the functional status of individual or aggregated kiosks and also access information about the number of users who logged in, the applications used, and other data for individual workstation or aggregated the network.
Library PRO is also unique in the number of communications applications it features and the variety of external devices it integrates with. Built to permit restricted access to Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications while preventing access to the rest of the hard drive, Library PRO gives end users fully functional word processors and spread sheets.
Its inbuilt Instant Messenger, e-mail, photo mail and video mail clients provide a more complete menu of communications platforms than its competition. Library PRO also has inbuilt drivers to integrate with almost all brands of smart media readers, magnetic card readers, coupon acceptors, touchscreen devices, and even printers.
