The Light the World Giving Machine will be available in 10 locations across the U.S., allowing people to make donations to non-profits by purchasing items such as food, clean water, health care services, shelter, bedding, skills training, educational supplies and more, according to a press release.

All donations go directly to each participating charitable organization. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints covers all expenses associated with the initiative, including credit card transaction fees.

The machines are being deployed throughout November and will remain through Jan. 1, 2022.

Cities include Las Vegas, Nashville, Honolulu, Salt Lake City, Oakland, Denver, Kanas City, New York City, Orem, Utah and Gilbert, Arizona.

Nashville, Oakland and Kansas City are new locations this year.

Among the 40-plus local charity partners, this year's global charities include CARE, Church World Service, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNICEF and WaterAid.
