The Light the World Giving Machine will be available in 10 locations across the U.S., allowing people to make donations to non-profits by purchasing items such as food, clean water, health care services, shelter, bedding, skills training, educational supplies and more, according to a press release.
All donations go directly to each participating charitable organization. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints covers all expenses associated with the initiative, including credit card transaction fees.
The machines are being deployed throughout November and will remain through Jan. 1, 2022.
