LifeMed ID secures payment partner for patient check-in kiosks

JetPay Payment Services, a division of JetPay Corp., and the patient identification company LifeMed ID announced an agreement to process financial and data transactions for LifeMed's patient kiosks.

LifeMed's medical services kiosk is designed to streamline hospital and office check-ins, provide critical data to doctors and to allow for easy bill payments, a joint press release from the companies said. Initially, LifeMed ID will deploy in several hospitals and large doctors' offices, with plans to gradually expand the rollout to its customer base, which has grown to 200 hospitals in 26 states serving more than 3 million patients.

"As a vertically integrated provider of business services from payment processing to payroll processing, we can work quickly to solve problems and provide innovative solutions," said Trent Voigt, CEO of JetPay Payment Services, in the announcement. "Even more importantly, we believe the LifeMed kiosks, in combination with their ID cards and our transaction processing innovations, may provide a life-saving benefit to consumers."
