Lesotho entrepreneur expands solar-powered charger kiosk

Kanono Thabane, an entrepreneur in Lesotho, is expanding his solar powered charging kiosk to help residents of rural off-the-grid areas. The kiosk can charge phones, gadgets and point-of-sale services and reduces carbon emissions compared to fossil fuel energy, according to a menafn.com report.

The pilot began with a prototype kiosk in 2018 and the business has grown to six in Thaba-Tseka.
