Korea automaker teams with LA design firm on EV charging stations

Morphosis, a Los Angeles based design firm, has teamed with Genesis, a Korea based global automaker, to introduce EV charging stations to South Korea's most populated areas, according to a press release.

The exterior stations are designed to serve as protective canopies made of aluminum panels on a steel superstructure.

The winged form of the canopy is recognizable within the urban environment with the Genesis wing emblem.

The canopy edge integrates a continuous LED light feature identifying the charging stations, with future capability of changing colors to indicate the EV charging level.
