KioWare launches Windows kiosk software with Chrome 49 support

KioWare has announced the launch of Version 8.5 of KioWare for Windows. This release supports RFID scanners, flatbed scanners, Watchport devices and system battery monitors, according to a press release.

The  version is designed to run on the Chromium Browser Engine and it supports Chrome 49. It also allows users to switch between various virtual keyboard languages.

Users can add a variety of Watchport devices such as Watchport/H and Watchport/T for humidity and temperature monitoring. Version 8.5 also comes with a new user interface for file upload controls, according to the release.

"We believe system security should be reliable and easy to configure with a strong feature set for kiosk customization," said James Kruper, president of KioWare. "This update of KioWare for Windows adds RFID scanners and flatbed scanners, along with system monitoring tools and even more options for customization."

Users need current support in order to update to Version 8.5 of KioWare for Windows. Users can try out all products as a free trial with nag screen.
