KioWare inks US government contract pre-approving kiosk security software

April 18, 2014

Analytical Design Solutions Inc., which trades as KioWare, has received a U.S. government-wide pre-approved contract for its KioWare kiosk security software, according to a company announcement.

The General Services Administration's "IT Schedule 70" contract means KioWare's kiosk security software is available to federal, state and local government agencies at pre-negotiated prices, terms and conditions. The contract is valid through March 29, 2019 and has three five-year extension options, KioWare said.

"As we expanded into the federal market, we learned that our customers valued the ability to purchase through GSA Schedule Contracts because of the amount of time they saved during the procurement process," Jim Kruper, Analytical Design Solutions' president, said in the statement.

KioWare software products, also known as wrappers, lock down devices into kiosk mode, restrict access and secure the operating system, home screen and applications. The products range from basic browser lockdown to server-based remote monitoring. They work on both the Windows and Android operating systems.

KioWare says its software is sold in 80 countries to businesses and government agencies. Clients include the U.S. Air Force, Coast Guard, Army Reserves, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of State, and 50 cities and counties across the U.S.

KioWare has been certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a small disadvantaged business. This means purchases through the KioWare's GSA Schedule Contract count towards an agency's small business goals.
