Kiosks.org Association to expand advisory board

September 17, 2002

ATLANTA -- Buoyed by a growing list of end-user members, the advisory board of kiosk industry advocacy group Kiosks.org Association (KOA) voted to expand the board's membership from 18 to 20 members during its fall meeting, Sept. 9-10, in Atlanta.

The board currently comprises 12 representatives from kiosk vendors-suppliers, three from KOA organizing body NetWorld Alliance, which also owns KIOSKmarketplace, one member from IQPC, the parent company of KioskCom, and two end-user members. The board voted to expand the number of end-user members to four.

The board also voted to fill the two current end-user positions with representatives from British Telecom (NYSE:BTY) and another candidate.

"We decided that two was a great starting number because at the start (of the organization in early 2001) we had no user members," said KOA chairman Dick Good. "We have filled those two seats and we've decided to expand to 20 by adding two more users."

Good said that 10 to 12 end-users have joined the organization.

In other news, the board decided to schedule advisory board and officer elections for the end of 2003. All elected officials will serve two-year terms. The board also discussed the scope of the organization as it relates to self-service functions and how to provide opportunities to members beyond booth space at traditional trade shows.
