Kiosks4Business launches PIP myPad portable kiosk

Kiosks4business has launched myPad, its newest addition to the Parent Information Point family of touchscreen kiosks.
MyPad is an intelligent, portable information pod that features a 10-inch LCD display, WLAN and optional 3G network connectivity and runs on rechargeable batteries and with about 3-4 hours of running between charges.The combination of battery-operated, portable style, with touchscreen and consultation software (Surveypoint) allows local government consultations with the public at a low cost. The kiosk runs a browser lock-down software which prevents unauthorized use or changes to the system.
Parent Information Point provides a wide range of information including education, training, welfare, benefits, jobs and more.In addition to browsing web pages, users can make a phone call with the integrated microphone and speaker. Users also can receive e-mails with links to web pages that they viewed on the myPad.
MyPad comes with a carry case, protective sleeve and external keyboard. It is compatible with other Kiosks4business software for applications in the NHS and healthcare, local government, housing and many other public services.
