OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Take Shape for Life, Inc. (TSFL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Medifast, Inc., (Amex: MED), will provide custom retail kiosks in outpatient rehabilitation centers owned by NovaCare Rehabilitation throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C.
According to a news release, the kiosks will include Medifast product information, before and after pictures, testimonials and encouragement from celebrity sportscaster and Medifast coach Dick Vitale.
The kiosks are part of a broader joint marketing agreement between the two companies which will provide weight and disease management solutions to NovaCare's patients.
Under the terms of the agreement, which is initially 18 months, Medifast expects to market its products to at least 200 of NovaCare's clinics. According to the NovaCare Web site, the company has 500 centers in 31 states.
"This marketing agreement will provide significant distribution opportunities for our products," said Bradley T. MacDonald, president and chief executive of Medifast, in the release.
