Kiosks put career info at sailors' fingertips

The Military Family Network: Navy Personnel Command is steadily incorporating new technology, upgrading Navy Exchange computer kiosks to offer real-time information to sailors. Customers have a single access point for information that's spread out over numerous Web sites. In addition to career tools, sailors can research places to live, nearby restaurants or other local information about their base surroundings. This system can be an invaluable resource for sailors and families who are transitioning to a new duty station or may not have easy access to computers outside of work.
