Kiosks offer quick vehicle tag renewals for Georgia county

Athens-Clarke County has joined the Georgia MV Express kiosk program, offering residents a faster and more convenient way to renew vehicle registrations and print tags, according to an ACC Government report.

The 96 MV Express kiosks, located at select Kroger and Publix stores across the state, allow residents to complete these transactions in as little as two minutes, even during evenings and weekends. While the closest kiosk, located at the Epps Village Kroger in Oconee County, does not currently offer driver's license renewals, residents can utilize any of the other kiosks statewide.

"We are excited to be a part of the Georgia MV Express kiosk program, which aligns with my commitment to providing Athens-Clarke County residents with more accessible, efficient, and modern government services," JP Lemay, Athens-Clarke County tax commissioner, said in the report.
