Kiosks may be the answer to Nintendo of America's marketing woes. According to Gamasutra, the company will install 6,000 kiosks at U.S. retailers over the next couple of months to demo its 3DS, its new portable gaming console that produces 3D effects.
Glasses-free stereoscopic 3DS is the selling point of the 3DS, but the feature is difficult to show via advertising and marketing materials. Nintendo is hoping the kiosks will show gamers what the 3DS can do.
Although the 3DS officially launches March 25 in Europe and March 27 in the U.S. for $250, it's been available in Japan since late February.
