Kiosks going all natural

March 9, 2011

Retailers wanting to deploy health-related kiosks now have a less-expensive option, thanks to the iHealthKiosk recently launched by Living Naturally.

"Now retailers can have a comprehensive health kiosk at a fraction of the price," said David Knaggs, the company's CEO. "This makes the return on investment for this program quite compelling as retailers effectively acquire an additional sales assistant with thousands of pages of health knowledge for only a few dollars a day."

The kiosk features natural health information on a variety of topics, including diseases, treatments, herbs, supplements, recipes and news articles. It also offers optional direct-to-consumer fulfillment capabilities, providing an in-store, special-order system allowing retailers to operate more efficiently by stocking only their high-turn items. The kiosks can also offer a large virtual inventory of natural products.

Knaggs said few retailers in the past had the option of deploying health kiosks because of the expense involved. However, tablet-based kiosk technology using wireless communications for real-time information feeds has made kiosks more affordable. Additionally, retailers can house the health information within their existing websites, making it available to their customers both online and in stores. Knaggs said the program will be $99 per month for a limited time.

Living Naturally will showcase the iHealthKiosk this week at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif.
