February 7, 2005

GRINDSTED, Denmark - Concept Kiosk has been awarded a contract to supply 26 kiosks for the Hans Christian Andersen 200th anniversary celebration.

The Danish State, in conjunction with the Hans Christian Andersen fund, is preparing for the event to be held in Andersen's birthplace of Odense. The city wanted informational kiosks installed indoors and outdoors to help promote the event. The kiosks will give visitors access to more detailed information regarding the celebration and the history of H. C. Andersen.

Concept Kiosk, along with its Danish distributor House of IT, will supply the indoor Flexmax kiosks and the outdoor Flexioutdoor units. The kiosks will feature Wi-Fi receivers and Web cams, as well as standard features such as 17-inch touchscreens. The outdoor units will have a map of the city on the back to guide visitors around Odense and its tourist sites. The kiosks will be lit from above for nighttime use.
