Kiosks accept traffic payments for Riverside Superior Court system

November 15, 2013

General Payment Systems Inc. announced an agreement with Superior Court of Riverside, Calif., to provide payment kiosks within various court locations.

Following a beta test in Riverside's Moreno Valley location, the kiosks have now expanded to three additional installations, with kiosks deployed at Larsen, Hemet and Southwest Superior Courts. The agreement also calls for the installation of kiosks at three more court locations in Riverside.

The kiosks were customized to accept cash and checks as payment for traffic tickets, and the newly developed software allows the kiosk to dispense cash to the customer for change.

"Our agreement with Riverside sets the stage for the largest alternative payment account in company history," said Ron Hodge, CEO of General Payment Systems. "And it gives us further traction in California where winning RFP's and accounts can increase the likelihood of future penetration. Ultimately, we expect Riverside and all its locations to be a critical source of revenue and market leverage."
