CHICAGO -- Retail Systems 2003 at McCormick Place here June 9-12 promises new technology and business strategies for retailers in all industry segments. This year, a Kiosk and Self-Service Pavilion will be on the main floor of the show.

More than 4,000 retail professionals and buyers are expected to attend the show, many looking for IT tools to create efficiencies and profits for their companies.

Kiosks.org is partnering with show organizers Retail Systems 2003/VICS Collaborative Commerce Conferences to create the specialized area on the exhibit floor that showcases the applications and benefits of kiosk and self-service technology in the retail, apparel and consumer-packaged goods industries. Pavilion exhibitors include Corporate Safe, Cyphermint Inc., Epson, Kiosk Magazine, Marcole Enterprises Inc., Micro Industries, Netkey, Partner Tech USA, the Self-Service Kiosk Association, and USNet. An executive panel on that day will discuss "Integrating kiosks and shoppability into the store environment."

June 11 in the pavilion, kiosk industry leaders will hold an executive panel on "The customer advantage."

Overall sessions at the Retail Systems show will cover store innovation, supply-chain management and fulfillment, multi-partner collaboration, consumer marketing, and data synchronization. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.com, will deliver the keynote address June 10 on leveraging technology to improve the customer experience.

Another high point of Retail Systems will be the release of new consumer data from analyst firm, Gartner Research.
