The newly-installed JailATM, at the Reno Justice Court in Nevada, lets family and friends deposit money to inmate's jail accounts without having to visit them at the Washoe County Detention Facility.
The kiosk, according to a Reno Gazette Journal report, accepts cash and credit cards and is operational during court hours.
"Placing this ATM kiosk in a lobby area at Reno Justice Court provides a centrally located option in the downtown area to conduct this type of business for people who would otherwise need to travel to the sheriff's office on Parr Boulevard," said Justice Court Chief Judge Ryan Sullivan in a release on the technology.
Each transaction will cost $2.50 and there is a 10% fee for card transactions.
