Kiosk industry goes to the dogs

March 4, 2002

CARY, N.C. - The kiosk industry is going to the dogs this spring. SmartVista Technologies, Inc. and A. Brothers Associates are jointly producing an educational kiosk for the American Kennel Club (AKC).

The e-learning kiosk will allow dog show attendees to access AKC services, including breed information, AKC championship points, breeders and an online AKC store. The kiosk will debut in April. Initially it will be used with the AKC's full booth display, according to a news release, and eventually will be used as a standalone unit.

SmartVista, located in Cary, N.C., is providing the software, which along with the hardware will be housed in custom cabinetry designed and built by Raleigh, N.C.-based A. Brothers Associates.
