Law enforcement officials have installed a kiosk at Duncan Lake in Duncan, Oklahoma selling fishing, boating and hunting permits that accepts credit cards, according to KSWO-TV.
The machine cost the city $3,000 and is on a six-month pilot program before the city council decides if they will keep it or not. Revenue will support the lake fund. Yearly fishing permits cost $10 while boating permits cost $25.
Resident Travis Brown said the kiosk saves people time and hassle. He said a concession stand that once sold permits has closed.
Lake officer Chisholm Hale said if city council approves the kiosk, kiosks could be installed at all the lakes in the area in the next two years.
