MEMPHIS -- When the Children's Museum of Memphis opens its expanded facility in August, kids will have the usual array of fun, modern activities to catch their eye, from flight simulators to virtual bike tours.
Part of the fun will also include an interactive kiosk.
The museum is including an interactive kiosk in its Art Smart exhibit, one of four new sections at the museum. Children can use the animation station to design their own cartoon characters and creations.
The project is being coordinated by Paradigm Productions LLC, a Memphis-based computer design and animation firm. The company, which utilizes computer design techniques in creating visual presentations, is developing a number of projects for the museum, including a flight simulator and flight-design kit.
Paradigm co-owner Charles Gaushell told the Memphis Business Journal that the kiosk program will be marketed to other museums after the Children's Museum of Memphis wraps up its expansion.
