Self-service key duplicating kiosk company minuteKEY announced it has expanded to 2,500 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
"We are delighted to expand minuteKEY's network to 2,500 locations with some of the largest and most respected big-box and home-improvement retail brands," said Randy Fagundo, CEO of minuteKEY, in a statement. "Our charter is to make key duplication easy, safe and accurate, and we take pride in not compromising in any of these areas."
MinuteKEY kiosks include a touchscreen for customers to insert their home, office or padlock key for duplication and select the style and number of keys needed. Keys are produced within 60 seconds, the company said.
The company's patented key technology utilizes advanced robotic technology and software engineering. The kiosks are PCI compliant, storing only the last four digits of a customer's credit card for recalling past transactions. Key data and customer information are not recorded.
