The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the state agency responsible for building federal and state highways, announced a plan to develop electric vehicle charging stations along interstates, according to a WLKY report.
The state will first provide charging stations along the interstates. One federal requirement is to have at least one station every 50 interstate miles.
The state will receive $69.5 million over the next five years and $10.3 million will be available this year with $86.9 million in matching funds.
