Kayak rental kiosk opens in Ohio

Schack's Yaks, a kayak rental service in New Richmond, Ohio, has installed a self-serve kayak kiosk at the boat ramp in Augusta. Rentals are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a maysville-online.com report.

Each rental includes a kayak, two fishing rod holders, a paddle and a life vest.

To rent a kayak, community members can download the Koloni app on their cell phone and scan a QR code at the kiosk to pay for the rental.

Christopher Schack, owner, said he wanted to offer a full-time service to Augusta and allow his business to operate in more than one location without traveling back and forth.
