Kauai, Hawaii gets 4th self-serve vehicle registration kiosk

Kauai, Hawaii residents can now renew motor vehicle registration at a self-service kiosk at Foodland in Princeville, the fourth on the island, according to a khon2.com report.

Users can pay for their registrations on a touchscreen by entering their license plate number or scanning a bar code of their renewal form. Vehicles are required to have valid safety checks. The kiosk only accepts debit or credit cards and incurs a $3 service fee in addition to a 2.5% card fee.

The kiosk prints the registration and license plate tabs once the transaction completes.
