The Kaua'i, Hawaii Department of Water recently installed a payment kiosk at its Lihu'e office. With the kiosk, customers can check their balance and make a payment with a debit or credit card, according to a report by Kaua'i Now.

Customers will need their account number, name and service address to make a payment. They can also pay with cash or check at the billing services window or with a customer service representative.

"While DOW offers the online Ko'u Wai Customer Account Portal for debit, credit card and ACH payments, we cannot assume that all customers have access to a computer or smartphone," Renee Yadao, waterworks controller for the Department of Water, said in the report. "This new addition to our Billing Services meets a longtime need and we are excited to provide the self-service kiosk to our walk-in customers, in addition to other payment options."
