Just Touch IT introduces face-recognition technology in kiosks
May 23, 2010
ITWeb reports that Johannesburg-based Just Touch IT has introduced Congo Vision, an interactive application that allows self-service kiosks to adapt to users based on factors detected through facial recognition.
Congo Vision, according to the report, can identify a user's age, gender and race, moving the market closer to interactive kiosks that could automatically adapt their messages to individual users.
The report notes the technology was featured in mid-May at Just Touch IT's second annual conference.
