Just Egg, which produces a plant-based egg substitute, has leveraged digital out-of-home to promote its product during a national egg shortage, in partnership with Volta, a electric vehicle charging station and advertising network, according to a press release.
The campaign aims to influence U.S. brick and mortar shoppers, who have increasingly returned to physical marketplaces in the wake of pandemic lockdowns, through strategic placement at various grocery store chains. Volta, which has a recently launched carbon savings calculator, estimates that the Just Egg campaign "is estimated to avoid 16,000 pounds of CO2 by powering electric miles," according to the release.
Additional promotions include a full page ad in the Sunday edition of The New York Times.
