Japanese retailers install vending machines featuring Ryzen 5000 CPU

Some Japanese retailers have installed vending machines offering Ryzen 5000 CPUs, a popular product in Japan, according to a wccftech.com report.

The boxes, however, contain one or several Intel/AMD CPUs that can be "played" for 1,000 Japanese Yen ($9). The machine acts as a lottery where the buyer can win anything from an old CPU to a 2nd Gen Ryzen CPU.

The Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) CPU lineup holds more than a 60% market share with its Ryzen 5000 desktop CPUs.
