Are Japanese hog farmers taking a cue from U.K. dairy farms?

Kondo Swine Pork in Maebashi has installed a meat vending machine in the front of its store, offering pork 24/7, according to a report in The Mainichi.

The machine offers eight product types ranging in price from 700 yen (about $6.20) to 1,950 yen (about $17.20), including barbecue ingredients, bacon and sausages.

The company has around 3,000 pigs and has offered pork proudcts through mail order since 2014. The company began offering products for sale at the store in 2016, but was only open Tuesdays and Fridays due to feeding and shipping schedules on other days.
