Jamba, Blendid open 2nd robotic smoothie kiosk

Jamba and Blended have introduced a second robotic smoothie kiosk at the Stonewood Center in Downey, California. Building on the successful 2020 opening of the first "Jamba by Blendid" in Dixon, California, the companies are opening the concept in additional types of venues, from big box retailers and shopping malls to gyms, hospitals and college campuses.

Blendid offers an autonomous, contactless food automation platform that leverages machine learning, robotics and artificial intelligence to create food options made on-demand.

The kiosk in Stonewood Center will offer seven plant-forward smoothies, as well as Jamba's Boosts. They are available in 14-ounce servings and can include one boost for no additional charge.

Guests can place orders in person at the kiosk or they can order ahead with the Blendid app on Android or iOS.

In celebration of the Stonewood Center opening, the Downey community can look forward to enjoying a "buy one, get one free" smoothie offer, valid Oct. 6-10, 2021, at the kiosk.
