Additional automated immigration kiosks will be installed to process passengers at Jamaica’s international airports, the nation’s national security minister, Robert Montague, announced at a news conference, according to RJR News, a Kingston, Jamaica news site. The kiosks are designed to detect a passenger's travel history, possible health risks and whether they should be detained for questioning.
The government is also awaiting completion of architectural designs to commence construction of the new Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency head office in Kingston.
