HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. & IRVINE, Calif — Jaco Electronics, Inc., a global distributor and integrator of customized flat-panel display solutions, and American Industrial Systems Inc., a leading manufacturer of digital signage solutions and interactive kiosks, today announced an alliance whereby Jaco will distribute AIS' full line of new dynamic signage systems, including LCD displays and media players featuring bundled content management software and networked connectivity.
AIS displays and players now support XML-based Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language open standards, as well as POPAI screen media formats, the industry's standards advocacy organization. AIS digital signage solutions are targeted to architecture and design firms that design, integrate, build, test, deploy and manage the construction and renovation of commercial retail buildings.
"AIS Totally Integrated Digital Signage is a state-of-the-art system that features ruggedized electronic display layouts and supports dynamic content and messaging to enhance retail foot-traffic patterns. We are delighted to forge this alliance with AIS and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship," said Jaco Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Joel Girsky.
AIS offerings include an industrial LCD monitor with a built-in digital media player that is mated with a heavy-duty robust pedestal stand to facilitate installation and set-up. Push buttons and motion sensors are available to maximize the targeted message and make it more advertiser-friendly.
