SAN MATEO, Calif. - Itemfield, a leading provider of next-generation data transformation software for enterprise applications, appointed Dr. Jacob Ukelson as chief technology officer. In this role, Dr. Ukelson will oversee Itemfield's technical product strategy and product roadmap, according to a news release.
Dr. Ukelson has led the design and development of many large scale applications focused on ease-of-use such as the EXPO 92 distributed pavilion, unemployment insurance kiosks for the Illinois department of employment services, and the Sears package pickup system.
Dr. Ukelson joins Itemfield from his position as CTO and business development manager for IBM Israel's Global Technology Unit, where he was responsible for the technical relationships between IBM and Europe's high-tech start-up and venture capital community. Previously, Dr. Ukelson was a department general manager at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Lab in New York.
