Israel lifts ban on iPads

Voice of America news service reportsthat Israel has lifted its ban on travelers bringing iPads into the country.
According to the report, Israeli officials were concerned that the wireless communication signals from the touchscreen devices could interfere with other devices.
In addition, the report cites a concern that the iPad wireless signals would be more powerful than the level allowed by European standards.
iPads impounded by customs officials will be returned to their owners, the report states.
