Invention promises to help gloved touchscreen users stay both warm and effective
April 30, 2010
Wired reported Friday on Digits, devices invented by product design collaborative Quirky to improve capacitive touchscreen performance in cold weather. The simple conductive buttons are designed to clip onto glove fingertips. A safety pin, used to hold the Digit to the glove, contacts the finger, creating an electric-field extension that can be read by touchscreen devices in cold weather.
Wired reports Digits will sell for $14 for a pack of four, and did not include a release date in its story.
