Internet kiosks going into Iowa rest stops

Iowa Times Republican: Motorists traveling across Iowa will soon have information on the weather, road conditions and tourist attractions at their fingertips. The Iowa Department of Transportation plans to install Internet kiosks at interstate highway rest stops beginning March 1. The Iowa DOT approved a $180,000, three-year contract with Zoom Information Systems of Fort Wayne, Ind. The company is continuing to provide free wireless access for travelers carrying laptop computers and other devices.
