Internet kiosks exposed to hackers, DEF CON 16 reveals

(New Zealand) Scoop Independent News: Security consultant Paul Craig from Security-Assessment.com in August released some break-through research at the world's largest hacking conference, DEF CON 16, in Las Vegas. The research highlights potential insecurities associated with Internet kiosks that yielded a first-of-a-kind attack methodology. The toolset developed as part of Paul's research, dubbed iKAT (interactive Kiosk Attack Tool), highlights the potential for a "would be" hacker to compromise any Windows kiosk in sub 10 seconds.   Click to continue
