Interactive devices provide healthcare assistance on airliners

The Tropic Post reports that a growing number of airlines are installing telemedicine devices on aircraft.
The machines, Tempus IC units by RDT, can take passengers' vital signs and forward them to a telemedicine help center. Center staff can then aid flight attendants in caring for sick or injured passengers.
The report notes that flight attendants can use the machine with as few as four hours of training.
The Tempus IC is already deployed by Emirates, BMI Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia Airlines.
