Phoenix-based Ink'd Greetings has raised $1 million in seed funding to accelerate the nationwide rollout of its automated greeting card kiosks, according to a Bizwomen report. The startup, founded by Sammi and Andrew Ekmark in 2023, offers customers the ability to customize and print greeting cards on-demand. Investor Hamid Shojaee of AZ Disruptors believes the greeting card industry is ripe for disruption and praised Ink'd Greetings' innovative kiosks.

"When I saw their prototype machine at Chandler (Fashion Center), I was sold. There should be tens of thousands of such kiosks all over the country," Shojaee said. The company plans to expand to over 75 locations nationwide through partnerships with retailers like 7-Eleven and Macerich Co.
