The infrastructure package passed by Congress Friday supports construction of a national network of electric vehicle charging stations, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.
The bill, which also includes funds to upgrade high voltage transmission lines to support a more electrified transportation system, allocates $5 billion for EV highway charging.
An additional $2.5 billion in grant funding could further support EV charging or alternatives like hydrogen-fueling infrastructure.
