Info Touch's TIO network serves underbanked consumers

January 26, 2005

BURNABY, British Columbia - Info Touch Technologies Corp. (TSX-V: IFT) unveiled TIO, a national brand strategy that creates a recognizable symbol for its network of self-service bill payment and financial services kiosks in North America. TIO primarily serves the bill payment market along with a variety of offerings including money order, money transfer, check cashing, wireless top-up, prepaid PIN-based products, event ticketing and lottery. The TIO symbol signifies the availability of these services with a large and growing coalition of convenience retail location partners, mass billers, and application service providers, according to a news release.

"TIO, `uncle' in Spanish, is a cultural reference rooted in the Hispanic community that signifies reliability and integrity," commented Hamed Shahbazi, chairman and chief executive officer of Info Touch Technologies. "TIO is a powerful brand name that communicates a simple message to under-banked consumers: if you are looking for convenient, secure and cost effective access to financial services, all you need to do is find the touchscreen kiosk in the retail location that displays the TIO symbol."

With TIO, Info Touch is creating a convenient national network of self-service bill payment and financial services to a large and growing non-banked demographic group that constitutes approximately 20 percent of the total U.S. population. The TIO financial services network facilitates cash-based bill payment and financial services transactions for wireless, utility, cable, retail and independent application service providers.

[Editor's note: Info Touch Technologies became Tio Networks in April 2006.]
