BURNABY, British Columbia, Canada - Having already collaborated on a line of horse racing replay kiosks, kiosk developer Info Touch Technologies Inc. and racing technology provider Post Time Technologies Inc. are about to take racing's proverbial class jump.
The two have entered a strategic alliance to develop a racing information kiosk that will combine preexisting replay technology with other racing-related services, including past-performance information, racing results, and photo finish pictures.
The kiosks will be located at racetracks, where bettors can use the information before placing their wagers. Revenue will be generated through user fees.
"Info Touch and Post Time's shared value proposition is not only to deliver time-sensitive information at the point of influence, but also to earn transactional income in the process," Hamed Shahbazi, Info Touch chairman and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
Post Time's replay kiosks are currently available at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Ky., Turfway Park in Florence, Ky., Emerald Downs in Auburn, Wash., and Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa.
