Burnbay, BC -- Info Touch Technologies Corp., a kiosk software and services solution company, and Leap Wireless International Inc., a provider of wireless communications services, announced an agreement for the continued development and network expansion of Info Touch's bill payment kiosks for its operating subsidiary Cricket Communications Inc.
"This agreement builds on a successful relationship with Info Touch that began about a year and a half ago," said Matt Stoiber, Phoenix general manager for Cricket. "Many of our customers pay their bills in person at one of our store locations each month. In order to better serve our customers, the Info Touch kiosks provide additional payment locations resulting in added convenience for our customers."
Cricket's express pay application is available on a network of approximately 279 kiosks in a variety of retail settings in cities including: Memphis, Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City and Denver. Over the next few months, Info Touch and Leap anticipate expanding Cricket Express Pay to additional company-owned stores and indirect dealer locations and through Info Touch's rapidly expanding network of national and regional convenience store chains.
"Self-service kiosk payments utilizing Info Touch's technology complements our growth plans," said Nitu Arora, vice president, product development, for Cricket. "We will continue to roll out additional kiosk locations within the 840 municipalities we serve across the nation."
Info Touch Technologies develops and deploys financial transaction software and consumer services in the self-service automated kiosk industry. Surfnet is Info Touch's trademarked technology for the secure and convenient delivery of e-services, including bill payment, maps and directions, money transfer, PIN dispensing for pre-paid products and services and electronic couponing.
Leap, headquartered in San Diego, provides mobile wireless services that are targeted to meet the needs of customers who are under-served by traditional communications companies. Leap pioneered Cricket service, a wireless alternative to traditional landline service.
