Info Touch grows into Canadian fast 50 list

August 22, 2002

BURNABY, British Columbia -- Full-service kiosk provider Info Touch Technologies Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange:IFT), in a reflection of its growth over the past several years, has been named to this year's Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 list.

The list honors the country's fastest growing technology companies based on revenue between 1997 and 2001. Deloitte & Touche will announce where each company finished on the list on Sept. 25.

For fiscal year 2001 ending July 31, 2001, Info Touch reported revenues of $2,953,374 (Canadian), a 336 percent increase over the $677,370 (Canadian) reported during fiscal year 1998, the earliest year records are available.

The leading company on the 2001 Canadian Fast 50, Stratos Global Corp., listed five-year revenue growth of 73,068 percent. The company, a global communications service and solutions provider, is not on this year's list.

"It is truly gratifying to receive an award of this caliber as it acknowledges our efforts to achieve responsible growth and corporate performance over the long term," said Hamed Shabazi, Info Touch chairman and chief executive officer, in a news release.

Info Touch is the fourth kiosk-related company named to a Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 list in the past year, joining deployer pieNetworks Ltd. (Australia), software developer ePOINT Ltd. (Scotland), and enclosure manufacturer Kiosk Information Systems (Colorado) (See stories: pieNetworks remains piping hot in Australia; ePOINT recognized on Scottish technology list; and KIS moves up on Colorado growth list).

[Editor's note: Info Touch Technologies became Tio Networks in April 2006.]
