The government of Indonesia has partnered with a lending institution to support vending machines in public places, according to a tempo.co report.
The State-Owned Enterprises Ministry launched the initiative to support small and medium size enterprises by introducing vending machines that offer products these enterprises provide.
The first machine was launched today at the SOE Ministry's building in Jakarta.
Muhammad Candra Utama, senior executive vice president of BRI Ultra Micro, a lender that collaborated on the project, said the machine will offer 19 snacks produced by 11 enterprises.
Ministry staffer Arya Sinulingga said the machines will also be available at other ministry offices, toll road rest areas, airports and train stations.
