Indian utility company deploys bill-pay kiosks

Tata Power, India's largest private sector power utility, has launched bill-payment kiosks throughout Mumbai.

The self-service kiosks help in extended service availability, reduce customer wait time, eliminate line ups, shorten transaction time, expand service capacity with multiple kiosks, create new service channel and offerings with increased efficiency and productivity, according to a company press release.

Tata Power customers can also visit customer relation centers to perform an online payment, deposit cash or check and can view or print their duplicate bills.
