Indian city installs 24-hour police hotline kiosk

Police in Kolkata, India have installed a 24-hour Internet kiosk called a "Hotline Kiosk" near the city's Zoological Park in Alipore that connects users to a police control room, according to an india.com report. The user presses the button on the LCD screen to create a formal complaint, which prompts a text message to the user containing the full complaint. An officer will also be posted at the kiosk.
